Sanctuary Wealth says an advisor team with more than $770 million in client assets has joined its network.

The four-person team, including two from UBS, is made up of chief executive officer and partner Matthew Murphy, chief operating officer and partner Rebecca Baker, chief investment officer Adam Rogers and senior wealth advisor Dustin Hatfield, according to Sanctuary.

They operate as Marble Wealth in Montgomery, Alabama — Sanctuary’s first team in that state.

Marble also marks Sanctuary’s third addition from UBS this year, according to the announcement. The others include Saige Private Wealth in April and Questar Capital in May.

Murphy and Baker previously operated as Longleaf Wealth Management at UBS, according to Sanctuary.

It was time to go on their own, according to Murphy.

"I started my career with UBS, learned the business there and had a great experience overall, but we feel that we are now ready to take the next step by establishing our own firm to serve clients in the manner that they and we think is best for them," Murphy said in a statement.

The team chose the independent channel for flexibility, according to Baker.

"We chose independence because we wanted to be able to offer our clients more solutions and advise them on all facets of their financial life," Baker said in a statement.

Rogers, meanwhile, was previously a portfolio manager at The Retirement Systems of Alabama, according to Sanctuary. He spent more than 17 years there, according to his LinkedIn profile.

"I've spent my career helping thousands of people prepare for retirement without ever meeting many of them, so the opportunity to work face-to-face with clients and put my investment experience to work for them is very exciting for me," Rogers said in a statement.

Murphy started in the industry with UBS in 2008 and had been registered there until moving to Sanctuary, according to his BrokerCheck record.

Baker started in the industry in 2014, when she registered with Morgan Stanley, then moved to UBS in 2016, according to her BrokerCheck record.

Rogers started in the industry in 2005, when he registered with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., and has been registered with four firms, according to his BrokerCheck record.

Hatfield started in the industry in 2019, when he registered with UBS, according to his BrokerCheck record.
