Morgan Stanley has poached several financial advisors from rival wirehouses Merrill Lynch and UBS, according to news reports.

Mark Mantooth, Alex Pols, Pat Shields and Ben Rutland join Morgan Stanley’s Huntsville, Ala., office from Merrill Lynch, FA-IQ sister publication FundFire writes citing a source familiar with the move. Mantooth and Pols managed $891 million and generated roughly $4.8 million over the past 12 months, according to FundFire. Shields oversaw $346 million in client assets, generating $2.7 million in revenue, and Rutland managed $154 million, generating over $1 million, the publication writes.

Additionally, Brett Goetz has joined Morgan Stanley’s Plantation, Fla., office, according to FundFire. He previously managed $100 million at UBS, generating $960,000 in production, the publication writes.

The new hires follow several large departures from Morgan Stanley. This year, the wirehouse already lost a pair of advisors to boutique wealth management outfit William Blair, as well as several advisors to Janney Montgomery Scott and Rockefeller Capital Management.
