LPL Financial has lured a pair of financial advisors from Ladenburg Thalmann’s group of broker-dealers, LPL says.

Kenneth Small and Natalie Jump, who oversee around $135 million, have joined LPL’s broker-dealer and corporate RIA platforms, according to a press release from the firm.

They join from Securities America, which is part of Ladenburg, LPL says.

The move was in part aimed at setting up a succession plan for Small, who’s been in the financial services industry for 35 years, according to the press release. Small and Jump, who joined Small in the late 1990s, are combining their business with Professional Wealth Advisors, an LPL wealth management team based in Downers Grove, Ill., LPL says.

Small and Jump are at least the second team to join LPL this week following the announcement that Advisor Group is acquiring Ladenburg, with the deal set to close in the first half of 2020.

Earlier, LPL poached a team of Nashville, Tenn., advisors from FSC Securities, one of the broker-dealers on the Advisor Group network.

Since the start of October, LPL also lured advisors from Advisor Group broker-dealer firms Royal Alliance, Woodbury Financial Services and more advisors from FSC.
