Kestra Financial has recruited an experienced UBS wealth management executive for a key role helping Kestra’s RIAs, the company says.

John Amore joins the firm as executive vice president of wealth management, according to a press release from Kestra. He’ll be tasked with helping grow assets under management for the firm’s RIAs and overseeing Kestra’s platforms on wealth consulting, financial planning, retirement plans, investment products and advisory platforms, the company says.

Amore had been with UBS from June 2005 until October 2019, most recently as managing director of wealth management, investment platforms and solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In that role, he was head of wealth planning for the Americas and head of investment platforms for Latin America, overseeing more than 110 people across various units of UBS, according to the press release.

Kestra has also added several financial advisors in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, Kestra RIA subsidiary Kestra Private Wealth Services lured a broker with four decades of experience from Wedbush Morgan Securities. And in October, a former LPL Financial advisor and two advisors previously registered with Woodbury Financial Services formed a new partnership and affiliated with Kestra Financial.
